Registration Procedures in OMAN
Type of trademarks:
- Marks for goods
- Services marks
- Certification marks
- Collective marks
- Quality control marks
- Sound marks
- Geographical indication marks
Period of protection:
- 10 years from the application date.
Cancellation action:
- Non-use of the trademark within 5 years from the registration date.
Requirements:
- Power of attorney duly notarized by the consulate of Oman.
- Copy of the certificate of incorporation or the company commercial register extract.
- Certified copy of the priority document, (if the priority is claimed).
Period of protection:
- 20 years from the application filling date.
Cancellation action:
- Non-use of the trademark within 3 years from the registration date.
Requirements:
- Power of attorney duly notarized by the consulate of Oman.
- Copy of certificate of incorporation or company commercial register extract.
- Deed of assignment (if the applicant is not the inventor) signed by both parties.
- Certified copy of the priority document (if the priority is claimed.
Drawing or models
Period of protection:
- 10 years from the application date.
